The Hunt for Silar Mins, Part III

After a six hour stay with Cenvex security, the crew of the Banana Republic are released to the smiling face of Mabon Pamphero … and Shree with a cadre of armed battle droids from the Banana Republic!

As Security Chief Kalidarn was in a forgiving mood, and had experienced before what problems Madalitso Cardea can generate, he let everyone go with a warning: be more careful in the future.

After leaving, the heroes have a quick conversation with your new allies, Captain Isra Garick and Jangir Toth. There is a job to do for the beer baron but “Silar” – who in reality was Arthren’nis Jarl – needed to be kept on a short leash. Jangir agrees to come along, while Captain Garick suggests she lead the Crimson Nova on a false chase to a rival bounty hunter guild. She said she would catch up later.

From there, the Banana Republic jumps to hyperspace for the Mustafar system. Arriving a week later, they drop into the middle of a space battle! The Black Hat pirate gang is attacking Pegasus Station and the station is calling for help!

Acting fast, the Banana Republic attacks. Just as the battle heats up, the mysterious gang of droideka mercenaries and pirates called Drozka’s raiders drops out of hyperspace! Making a quick alliance with the Black Hats, the Banana Republic turns to fight off the new threat. The deal with the Black Hats being that the return of a stolen data chip hidden among Abhay Ronan’s beer barrels.

With the fight over, the Banana Republic loads the barrels aboard, and locate the data chip. The crew makes a copy, leaving the original chip in a drone for the pirates to collect. The Banana Republic ejects the drone, then jumps to hyperspace.

While on the trip from Mustafar to Mechis, there is time to examine the copied data. There were only two items: a set of astrogation coordinates and a security code. At first no one recognizes either one, until Dizzy remembers the code during her time in the clone wars. It is a particular security code pattern used only for Omega-level clearance for the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Separatists.

Uneasy about the find, they contact the Jedi temple and speak with Master Kenobi. They ask for his help, wanting to meet him and Senator Padme Skywalker on Mechis. The hope being that they could help shed some light on this mystery.

The trip through hyperspace takes less time than anticipated as the Banana Republic arrives in Mechis a little over five days later. Dropping from hyperspace, the Banana Republic enters the Mechis system. Home to Mechis III, a rocky, arid world which houses many of the top droid designer and construction facilities.

The com channel lights up with a signal from Arcadia Station, the space station in orbit around Mechis III. Along with that is a second call from a ship called, Reilly’s Luck, the light freighter owned by Captain Isra Garick.

The Hunt for Silar Mins, Part II

After reaching Cenvex station, the crew sets out on two important tasks: locating Silar Mins. On speaking with station security, they explain Silar is infected with an intelligent parasite and that they have the means to remove it.

Suspecting a silent invasion, Cenvex station security plans for the worst, notifies medical and requests help from the crew of the Banana Republic. They agree, handing over a dead parasite and all data they have on how to remove it. In the process, Rushlight works with one of the doctors and invents a way to detect the parasite through pheromones.

With Cenvex medical working on the data, the crew then heads for the promenade. Some to the Mayu’s Mercy Pub, others to the station promenade. While in the promenade, Rushlight makes a quick search of the job postings and finds a lucrative job for the Beer Baron, Ahbay Ronan. The crew takes the job.

Meanwhile, using the check-in logs from the bounty hunter boards, Greelo tracks Jengir Toth to Mayu’s Mercy Pub. There the crew learns more about Silar and that he’s been meeting with a Captain Isra Garick.

But, before the crew can either search for Captain Garick or leave to check in with the Beer Baron, Silar appears! Then, so does the Crimson Nova bounty hunter, Madalitso Cardea. A fight breaks out in the promenade that stretches over two floors!

When the dust settles, Madalitso and his hired thugs are down for the count. The crew of the Banana Republic have taken their fair share of shots and scrapes in return. And … Cenvex station security arrived to arrest everyone involved to sort this out.

Six hours in security holding pass. Until the crew of the Banana Republic, Silar, Captain Garick and Jangir Toth are all released into the custody of one Mabon Pemphero, accompanied by a nervous Shree, as Silar explains to the group …

he is not Silar Mins. The person called ‘Silar Mins’ doesn’t really exist.

When last we left …

Taking a bold gamble to stop the pit fighting and free the gladiators, the heroes stepped into the ring. Instead of countering the gladiatorial fights and freeing the fighters, they wind up in a pitched battle with Crimson Nova! The fighting exploded out of the arena and into the streets. Before it was done, the battle with Crimson Nova became a full-scale slave and droid revolt!

Using the revolt as cover, the heroes try to cripple Crimson Nova’s operations by stealing their resources and ships and turning this over to the freed droids and slaves.

Now, So’zen Al Saba has cornered Aurra Sing in the Crimson Nova guild house. Alone, with almost all of his senses dimmed, he and Aurra Sing begin their dance of death. Outside, So’zen’s companions race to the guild house to help the young Jedi before it’s too late!

After receiving a call from N8, the group raced back to Port Nevermore for their ships. Then, tearing through the sky, they arrived at Port Etmar.

The reception was lukewarm. All the locals were suspicious. Some whispered about a ‘Medusa plot’, while others put in a word to the local Crimson Nova guild house.

Undeterred, the group continued through Port Etmar, trusting the will of the Force, information from N8, and seasoned knowledge of how criminal minds worked. Using both, they head for the underground fighting pit beneath a dewback corral.

There they found both N8 and the slaves. In a desperate gamble, the group volunteers to fight in the arena for the lives of the slaves. An ‘exhibition match’. One that is interrupted by the unwelcome arrival of Aurra Sing and members of Crimson Nova.

When last we left …

Rescuing the Bendu temple and the Krayt Dragon proved to almost be the end of the heroes. On leaving, the attackers covered their escape with a strafing run. This destroyed several buildings outside the Bendu temple and was almost the death of Danar Vorpadaran and So’zen Al Saba! Meanwhile Vanya avoided the strafing run but was mauled by a Naboo saber cat!

But the Force was with them, as they survived and recovered. After a brief rest, they speak again with Belshanna, the Bendu mystic about the path taken by the Crimson Knights: to the ancient ruins deep in the Chalcedon wasteland.

They travel across the wasteland and arrive at the ruins on the edge of twilight. As the sun set, night rose, along with the Dark Side. And with it so did the temple at the heart of the ruin. Brick by brick, the temple altered its shape until a Jedi temple by day became a Sith temple at night. Even more unusual, the heroes find themselves surrounded by dozens of the mysterious tentacle creatures. Some dozens of meters wide and long!

Assuming they might be attacked, they bring the vehicles inside the ruin. Then turn to meet the only inhabitant: a reptilian creature dressed in traveler’s clothes and robes. A being who claims to be a guardian of a fantastic and ancient device called an ‘Infinity Gate’. Which seems to be the reason the Crimson Knights were here at all.

Episode 3.04

When last we left …

After recovering from the fight in Port Nevermore, the heroes took a well earned rest then made their plans the next morning. Thanks to the Collector and his data, they had two locations on the trail of the Crimson Knights: the ancient ruins to the south, and the Bendu Temple in the canyon called the Needle Forest. They chose the Bendu Temple, thinking that they could ask the inhabitants what the Crimson Knights wanted to know.

They arrived at the temple and found it under attack! A mysterious alien craft, the size of a Corellian Cruiser, hovered low over the temple complex. Armored troops were attacking the temple guards, driving them back towards the main temple.

Wasting no time, the heroes joined the fight and made their way to the Bendu Temple itself. There, they met with Belshanna the Bendu priestess. From her, they learned the troops belonged to the same mysterious being called Sargon mentioned by the Collector. They also learned the Crimson Knights were asking about a map and the ruins to the south. Then, the heroes learned about the Kwi Map when the map permitted a copy to be given over to the heroes.

Outside, the battle grew intense as the cybernetic-enhanced Krayt Dragon – that had turned against Sargon’s troops – had attacked the woman in the black armor. Sargon’s forces renewed their assault, intent on taking the temple and what secrets it holds!

When last we left …

The COLLECTOR explained about their common enemy. A being called SARGON. A self-proclaimed emperor in the Unknown Territories of the galaxy. But the truth was hard to take, given the number of bounty hunters that attacked our heroes. Some even sent by the Collector himself.

But before the Collector could explain more, sirens blared out as Port Nevermore was under attack! It was Reavers! The power to the port town died along with its automated defenses! While most of the group ran out to push back the Reavers, So’zen remained behind. Sensing something was wrong, he stayed in the Collector’s menagerie, anticipating a trap.

He was not wrong. Minutes after the assault on Port Nevermore began, Nogri Death Commandos stormed the Collector’s warehouse and began searching through the collection. Using the Force, So’zen determined the Nogri were after a certain set of data chips. He raced to the chip storage vault just in time to prevent a group of spider bots from destroying the data!

Outside the battle against the Reavers was dire. Outnumbered, the heroes bolstered the town’s defenses against an army of Reavers. Until the source of the Reavers was found. Outside the walls, a strange device was generating replicants of Reavers! The heroes moved to get at the device but that was when Nogri outside the warehouse launched their surprise attack. After a hard fight, the Nogri were defeated and the bizarre device that grew Reavers had been shut down.

As Port Nevermore settles back into a quiet night and repair crews work to restore power, defenses and the main gates, the heroes settle in for an evening rest in their ship …

Part VI

After striking a shaky alliance with the pirates of the DIAMONDBACK, our heroes raced into action. One group, backed by Captain Ada Pinnock and the crew of the Diamondback, confronted the Spartan Imperium light cruiser, IMPERIOUS. Meanwhile a second shuttle headed for long sought wreck of the WESTLAKE.

Any attempts to bargain or distract the Spartans failed and the battle exploded to life. Meanwhile, Rushlight – using every trick the shuttle ‘Vader’ had – managed to tow the Westlake away from its entrapment in the gravity well of the ruined moon.

In the end, the heroes won the day with their pirate allies. Defeating the Spartan Imperium ships – and causing the implosion of a Spartan interdictor cruiser – they turned their attention to repairs and the goal of destroying the Westlake.

But there is more to the Westlake than a dead ship with mysterious secrets. Speaking with the Wind, Rushlight determined there was life aboard. Five ARC troopers, considered lost since the fall of Kamino, lay in stasis deep inside the Westlake. But so does a gigantic swarm of hyper-intelligent mynocks. A swarm larger than has ever been recorded before.

Now, our heroes are set on rescuing the lost troopers before they destroy the Westlake and its treasure trove of mysterious secrets. Once they determine a way aboard and then past the mynock swarm!

Planetside, they separate, looking to learn more about the Port and its inhabitants. People that are found later with no memory of what happened.

With more pieces than puzzle in front of them, they accept the invitation to meet at last with the mysterious COLLECTOR. Tucked away in a corner of Port Nevermore, the heroes pass through some of the Collector’s items. Then, at last they meet the being himself. Who suggests they have much to discuss.
